Overall purpose

Be a business partner in providing financial analysis and financial transparency on the Vietnam manufacturing processes to develop best in class and most cost effective manufacturing plant in Vietnam
Responsible for the design and execution of the end to end finance processes (including day to day operational and budget/forecasting processes) and required systems to enable the successful set up and operation of the Vietnamese business. To implement solutions for all finance functions including Financial Accounting, Reporting and Planning, Commercial Finance activities (Sales, Marketing, Operations, cost management), Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Tax, Treasury, Risk, Compliance reporting and the Control environment;
Ensure that all internal and external audits, regulatory, compliance related activities are managed and submitted in a timely manner to relevant internal or external departments
To implementation of a local IT solution and integrating back with the Corporate IT systems;
To work both as part of a local cross-functional team and with the Group Finance Team in the Corporate Head Office in Sydney.

Requirements

Business Partnering (20%)
- Supporting Vietnam manufacturing operations to maximize benefits at minimal operational cost to produce rice.
- Recommend and implement process improvement and best practices from other Vietnam/Non Vietnam rice mills.
- Provide insightful reporting to management with recommendations.
Operational Finance (60%)
- Enable the business to run in a financially practical but compliant way. This will require working with the cross functionally within and external to the Vietnam manufacturing operations. External parties can include internal teams (ie Group Finance & international team) or external (ie auditors, govt agencies). The Financial controller is expected to run and manage day-to-day financial operations and the forecasting/budgeting process.
- Designs the local IT solution working closely with IT and the Group Finance team to ensure integration back with existing Group systems and covering all areas above.
People Structure (10%)
- Being a leader to coach the Manufacturing team on maximizing benefits in the most cost effective manner.
- Grow and train the finance team.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

Bachelor Degree in Finance / Accounting;
Demonstrated knowledge of working with local and international reporting standards
English language
Experienced working closely with a corporate head office;
Understands of finance in a manufacturing environment;
Experienced in financial accounting roles in audit or professional services;
Technically strong and able to apply that to a commercial business environment;
Influencing skills;
Leadership;
Ability to communicate finance terms of non- finance personnel
SAP preferred
