Position 1: Steward

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must meet the age limit for serving alcoholic beverages.
  • A friendly, polite, and courteous nature.
  • Strong customer service and team working skills.
  • Physical stamina to work long hours on your feet.
  • The flexibility to work shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and setting tables and placing seasonal decorations, candles, and table cloths.
  • Welcoming customers, seating them, serving them water or refilling their glasses, and delivering beverages from the bartender.
  • Keeping menus clean and presenting them to customers.
  • Stocking wait staff serving stations with napkins, utensils, trays, and condiments, and assisting the wait staff with all aspects of service.
  • Clearing tables and preparing them for the next customers.
  • Assisting in cleaning and opening or closing tasks.
  • Scraping food from dirty dishes, pots, pans, plates, flatware, and glasses, washing dirty dishes, and putting them away.
  • Assisting with sweeping, mopping, and polishing the restaurant, bar, kitchen, and equipment.
  • Transporting used linen to or from the laundry or housekeeping section.
  • Assisting with unloading and storing stock.
Position 2: Spa Therapist

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Licensed in Massage Therapy and Cosmetology or Aesthetics.
  • Proven experience working as a Spa Therapist.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are advantageous.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and different massage techniques.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Patience and respect.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing different types of massages, beauty treatments, and wellness therapies.
  • Maintaining detailed records of massages, treatments, and therapies performed on each spa guest.
  • Communicating with guests during massages to adjust massage techniques as required.
  • Resolving guest complaints and reporting any accidents to the supervisor.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, changing treatment room sheets, and sterilizing all instruments and equipment before each use.
  • Explaining massages, treatments, and therapies to guests and providing suitable recommendations as needed.
  • Ensuring that the spa is adequately stocked with spa supplies and reporting shortages to the supervisor.
  • Enquiring about guests' medical conditions and allergies before providing spa services.
Position 3: Waiter Casual

Requirements:

  • Endurance to walk and stand for long hours.
  • Flexible work hours.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional with difficult customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Coordination to carry plates or trays without dropping anything.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and hand out menus.
  • Take meal and beverage orders from customers and place these orders in the kitchen.
  • Make menu recommendations and inform patrons of any specials.
  • Deliver meals and beverages to tables when they have been prepared.
  • Check that customers are satisfied with their meal.
  • Prepare the bill for tables when requested.
  • Cash up bills and ensure that the correct amount has been paid.
  • Administer change to tables if needed.
Position 4: Housekeeping (HK) Attendant Casual

Requirements:

  • Ability to manage your time efficiently.
  • Work well unsupervised.
  • Handle basic maintenance and cleaning.
  • High school diploma.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with hotel guests.
  • Hard worker.

Responsibilities:

  • Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained.
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
  • Clean and stock restrooms.
  • Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
  • Notify managers of necessary repairs.
  • Collect and dispose of trash.
  • Assist guests when necessary.
  • Keep the linen room stocked.
  • Properly clean upholstered furniture.
Position 5: Trainee

Requirements:

  • Completing all assigned tasks and assisting with day-to-day operations.
  • Participating in meetings, workshops, and other learning opportunities.
  • Observing and learning from experienced staff members.
  • Gaining knowledge of company policies, protocols, and processes.
  • Taking detailed notes and liaising with Managers, Supervisors, and other senior staff.
  • Fulfilling any requirements and meeting goals set out at the start of the traineeship.
  • Following all company regulations, and health and safety codes.
  • Preparing documents and updating records.
  • Learning about conflict resolution and sitting in on disciplinary hearings.
  • Traveling to different offices and participating in daily operations as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, HR, or similar.
  • Experience in a management role or similar.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid driver's license may be required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Superb attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Willingness to work overtime if required.
  • Excellent time management skills.
Position 6: Steward Supervisor

Requirements:

  • Knowledge
    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Previous hotel experience an asset
    • 1-2 years of supervisory experience
  • Administrative
    • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Knowledge of WHMIS and MSDS
  • 4 Diamond Service
    • Associate exhibits a professional vocabulary in all communication with guests
    • Associate is always properly attired in uniform, with clearly visible name tag
    • Anticipates guest’s needs or offers a personalized recommendation
    • Associate is efficient yet unhurried and sensitive to the manner of the guest
  • Leadership
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Creative Problem Solving Skills
    • Provides feedback and supports all team members
    • Creates motivating work environment
    • Actively participates in H&S and Green Program
    • Adheres & enforces organizational policy and procedures

Responsibilities:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow associates
  • Lead and Supervise the Stewarding Team in all aspects of the department and ensure Rimrock standards are followed
  • Supervise and maintain the sanitation of kitchen equipment and other assigned areas in accordance with the Alberta
  • Health Code and Hotel Standards
  • Train all Kitchen Stewards, S&R Attendants & Night Cleaners
  • Review all BEO’s and ensure all set-ups and supplies are in place for each function
  • Ensure all breakages and chipped items are removed from circulation and inventoried for warranty
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is in working order, report any items in need of repair and create an engineering request
  • Follow all hotel and departmental policies, procedures and service standards
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment for all associates
  • Ensure Stewarding area is clean at all times i.e. tables, walls, machines etc
  • Monitor staffing levels to ensure adequate amount of staff for business levels and functions
  • Assisting kitchen with plated and buffet functions (plate ups) for 20 – 600 ppl
  • Manage duties under supervisor portfolio (separate document)
